Letter from the Secretary and Director-General
Dear prospective delegate,
We are honoured and humbled to invite you to join us for four unforgettable days filled with thought-provoking and exciting days in committees, and evenings filled with memories and friendship that will last a lifetime as we bring you the best of Queen’s traditions and vibrance, and all the charm of Kingston. We could not be more excited that you have chosen to consider spending your time with us, and cannot wait for the inaugural conference of QNMUN. We have worked tirelessly to create an incomparable experience that will immerse you in your committees, allowing you to engage with the most pressing issues of today, tomorrow and the events that have shaped us to where we are today.
This year’s theme is “Eye of the Storm: Conflict through the Ages.” Our generation is composed of some of the most engaged, knowledgeable and intelligent people in the world, and in a world filled with turmoil, we think there are no better people to tackle these issues head-on than you. We have faith that regardless of your Model UN experience your innovative ideas and fresh perspectives leave no one better equipped to examine the world around us to examine where we are now, how we got here and most importantly, where we go from here. We have planned a series of varied and colorful events that will allow you to engage with very best of Queen’s, from unforgettable socials to engaging guest speakers, networking opportunities with students, professors, to panels discussing some of the most pressing issues that young people can act on, tours of our renowned campus and ... well we can't give everything away yet - we've still got a few surprises up our sleeves!
This March, we cannot wait to welcome you to our campus and world as we embark on our journey that promises to be a whirlwind and an experience you won’t soon forget.
